Been working on my 2240 and wanting to get it up to power for squirrels and rabbit. Is a boss valve worth it? What about an extended bolt probe, any suggestions where to find a good one?

yes , i have installed at least 10 or more in my 2240 /2250 when was into co2 , happy with all of them.

Been a while but the Boss valve really shine in a 14" bbl or longer. The 2289 and the hex action has the Boss valve.

x2 on Shambozzie’s comment about the Boss valve paired with a 14” or longer barrel. The extra volume will not benefit the original barrel in a meaningful way, but it will be louder and consume more CO2.
