Going to buy an Impact in .25cal next week. Was wondering if the 800mm barrel kit is worth the extra money or just stick with the 700mm. Looking to shoot slugs at prairie dogs so distance will be in my future. .25 because I already have a maverick
Just from a ballistic viewpoint, the 800 should help with a bit extra maximum effective range compared to the shorter 700. I just bought a .25 Crown Continuum for Christmas, and it came with a 380 and 700 barrel, so I added a slug liner in 700 as the best cost-effective way to me to shoot prairie dogs and coyotes. I also just added a .22 in 380 length just because I could do it economically. I really like the FX system.
