Has anyone converted this rifle to .25 caliber? Is it even possible? What would the advantages/disadvantages be? The power plant seems up to the job, it should at least be as good as the Hatsan versions?

I have a XS28M (Chinese clone of the 350) in .25cal. Unfortunately the barrel seems bent as it shoots way to the right, but otherwise it seems to sling that caliber pellet just fine.

after watching a video or 2 it would seem it would be easier to buy the Xs28 as a rifle in .25 if you could find one

Many .25 cal 350 Mags have been made, some by people who are no longer with us. At one point, there were even LW .25 cal barrels for the 350 available. Hector Medina might have one still up for grabs.
Many guys have used a XS28 barrel from Mike for the conversion. After some runs that needed laborious fitting, direct drop-in barrels became available. I also got one some years back.
To my horror the otherwise perfect Chinese barrel had a breech block top c. 1mm too long, leaving my 350 Mag with the mother of all barrel droops. Back then, I didn't have the tools, skill or confidence to correct the breech by judicious hand filing.
I still have the barrel and might get the itch one day. Learning about the barrel condition Mike immediately returned my money down to the last penny, so he made it good.
