I switched my 700mm sniper barrel to a 500mm compact to test out. For the guys who purchased a .25 cal compact. Can you tell me what was your factory regulator set at and the FPS you were getting. I like to have the baseline to start with.

1st 175. Second 145. Shooting 976 fps. 25g 2 mags 32 shot or a little. More. I cut it back 150/100. 900 fps.. It's been cold with a capital BRRR. And windy so im in when I want to be out. First tries w/ slugs. Hybrid poor. NSA 29 great potential. Would likely have to set to original to get slug speeds up.

Couple of mags. Weather just isn't cooperating for the time required. My shooting buddy , Ron, my cousin and friend died on the 23rd.

This I can tell you for a reference only. My .22 Maverick Sniper was set 1st reg- 145 bar, 2nd reg 110 bar shooting KO 25.39 @915 Hammer Spring #7, grub set to 3.6mm (,142) of the 6.0mm available (Ernest suggested max)
My MK3 700mm .30 Huma (extra plenum) reg set to 145 bar shooting JSB 44.75 @971 with HS #7, grub set to 5.7mm (,224) of 6.0mm available (Ernest suggested max).
MK3 with 700mm .22 Huma reg set to 145 bar shooting JSB KO @ 940 with HS #7, grub set to 4.62mm (.182)
Not sure how many pellets/slugs you have through it, Take your time and let it settle in the 2 regulators before adjusting. Have a great time with your new Maverick.

I se you guys are over recommended 20 to 30 BAR different between the two regulators, don't you think we should be closer to 20 BAR different for better performance?

Would be interesting to compare. Yet, if you wanted to increase 2, say to allow heavier pellet or slug, would 20 bar spread allow this without a total reset?

Got a chance to shoot the compact barrel without changing the tune from the sniper barrel. 1st regulator 170-175 bar 2nd regulator 140-145bar with heavy hammer. What I notice with this compact barrel is pellets and fx slugs don’t like high speed even if you’re able to shoot them faster. Must be the excessive air pushing behind the projectile. More tuning with the regulator pressure for sure. I’m able to get same accuracy at higher speed with the 600mm and 700mm barrels. Good thing this setup is for small game hunting under 60 yards.
