Skout .25 Skout Epoch

The Gold .30 Epoch doesn’t disappoint.
Am getting it ready for the TexTreme Texas State EFT Championships December 7-8, 2024.

I’m shooting the AEA 50.5 grain at about 905-910 fps. Have the dope figured out pretty close from 20 to 100 yards. After a little bucket and sticks practice to verify the dope and yardages, I decided to shoot a bit off the bench to see if it still has “it”.

I’d say yup, still does. 100Y light breeze swirling, one STUD magazine, 21 shots. I’d say that is definitely “Sub” MOA, but not a SubMOA barrel. I do use an STO Falx high flow moderator. We all know or are told that mods reduce accuracy and precision j/k 😳 but where I practice not using a mod isn’t an option.

Nice group !! What barrel or should I say liner are you using ? Thanks man.

Have you used the original Skout liners at all ? I have the - liner in .30 and it is so so. I have the neutral one coming soon to try.
The gun came with the original .25 caliber 25 inch barrel and it’s very good. About the same as the .25 FX Superior 700mm 1:24 twist pellet barrel. The both like the Daystate Rangemaster 33.95 grain pellets. (JSB MK2 Heavy).

That is looking Very Tight for a magazine's worth of shots!
Completely punched out the Bullseye!
The 50's are working well for you
Best of luck in Texas
Mike

I believe almost everyone that has this gun will have a leak or leaks, I have owned two of them, a .25 and a .30 and both leaked. Other than that ,and that it is very loud, it seems to be a very good gun. If they stay the course, I believe they eventually will produce an excellent gun that is not plagued with leaking problems and sounding like a cannon.

I hate that you had those problems, but I had neither. No leaks, and it wasn’t any louder than anything else. I didn’t mind the factory straw mod. Heck, my Prophet is way louder!
