AVS makes the .254 that fit the mag. but the 42gr I tryed were not very accurate, at least in my gun.Anyone find any .25 slugs that work with the GK1? I have tried NSA and ZAN thus far and neither will work. They fit too loose in the magazine and are causing it to jam and not cycle correctly. Just wondering if anyone has found a good slug that seats well in the magazine and still shoots decent?
If so, please post the Brand and Weight of the slugs you've found that work. Also, what velocity have you found gives the best accuracy?
Thanks...
Brah! Das awesome!I made a custom die for the .25 cal GK1 that shoots .253 slugs MOA at 110 yards. I’m in the process of setting up a website to sell them but you can contact me and I can send you some samples in the five different weights.
You can view accuracy tests on my facebook page: Big Island Airgunners

Pellets are accurate out to around 50 yards in the GK1 but slugs are more accurate at 50 yards and beyond. Also slugs are more lethal and therefore better and for pest control and hunting. Also if you have the right slug, it is actually more accurate than any pellets at any distance in the GK1 as the K1 and GK1 was primarily designed to shoot slugs. Why slugs in the GK1?
I’m genuinely curious.
Pellets are super accurate and never cause jams.

If you haven't tried them yet, the NSA .254 have worked the best in the K1 for me in the past.Big BIG thumbs up here for @DMTman! I received a sample of his 50gr, 40gr (haven’t shot the 33gr yet) but can vouch that these are my favorite slugs I’ve run through all of my .25 (Lelya 2.0, Matador Long and GK1) - these are special in that I haven’t found a single slug yet that will run in all three cycling properly. I’ve tried ZAN, Altaros (good too in the GK but expensive), FX hybrids… but I prefer one slug to rule them all. I also prefer the heaviest slugs I can run in all my gear, and these fit the bill perfectly. Highly recommend you grab yourselves a sampler and send them downrange.
Peace,
Mark
P.S. they’re also very handsome.
Slugs have more weight and come in hollow point ie more damageWhy slugs in the GK1?

They are supposed to be that tight in any gun. I find the 42 grains a little better.Im new at this so maybe doing it wrong, but I tried the AVS slugs in .254 (48gr) and yes, they work (840 fps 75 fpe). But, they are so tight you can easily get the cylinder stuck and MAN!! that can be a real pain in the ass to get unstuck. I find the .253 works well, though I haven't chronid those yet...
The 48 are too big. Recommend 42 or 44 flat base. 253 fit better 254 shoot better. You can also lubricate lightly. Tight fit contacts the rifleing better.Im new at this so maybe doing it wrong, but I tried the AVS slugs in .254 (48gr) and yes, they work (840 fps 75 fpe).
