Huben .25 Slugs for GK1?

Did you buy the wrong NSA .25 slugs? on the 38.5 slug you can choose .254 which is the correct size for the GK1

I have heard that these work fine with the GK1 .25. I just ordered my GK1 .25 and am likely purchasing these slugs and also the JSB 33..95 as my pellet ammo. I know others like the JSB Exact 25..39 and JSB Hades Match 26.54 for pellets.
Is it though? Because my batch 33.6 and 38.5s in .254 will not seat flush in a GK1 V3 mag.

You have to push them in with your fingernail or some people use the fill port protector. They should go in with resistance that way they are held in place. Im done shooting pellets. I know they are more accurate than slugs but I always get a jam. Last year I shot 160 shots every Sunday for 7 months without one jam. AVS .254 42 grain flats. For whatever reason they have to be 42 grain as well. They are tight in the mag and dont move but you have to make sure they are pushed in all the way. Some people load there mag then spin it another 360 to make sure they are seated.

If this was true in my case I wouldn’t mind. But I had to put quite a bit of pressure with a screwdriver to get these to go in so I could shoot them out. I’m on the fence about polishing the cylinder to see if they will fit better. I’m worried if manually doing that will decrease accuracy since the slugs are shot out of the cylinder instead of seated into a chamber like a traditional magazine would. I have some Zan .253s on the way, if it likes those I may just run them for the time being, because I dang sure don’t want to resize slugs I have to pay for.

I have to use my fill port protector to push them in. They are supposed to be that tight I have been told by a number of people. Load your mag, Then open your loading gate and point the airgun up in the air. Give it a shake. If your pellets or slugs fall out they are undersized.

I bet you didn't buy your GK1 from Kraz Cool. Kraz goes through and loctites and checks every problem screw and other things that can go wrong with the airgun. He even takes the tank off and hydro tests each one. He does this not only for good customer service but he has to service the gun if it breaks to. Did you know that most broke GK1's go to him and the other retailers call him because they only sell and cant service them. He will probably kill me if he sees this post but if you buy from him he even fixes them for free when there out of warranty.
Best guy out there

AVS is making some new slugs that are in between the 253 and the 254 specifically for the GK one. I use the 254 AVS 42 flat base and can push them in with my nail but keep in mind that not every magazine is exactly the same so maybe you can email Steven at AVS and pick up some of the sizes that are in between and see if they fit better in your magazine

I have tried the NSA 25 fours and I can’t get them to seat properly either. That is why I switched over to the AVS254. They are pure lead so they are softer and easier to seat also slightly lubricating. The slugs helps.

Anyone find any .25 slugs that work with the GK1? I have tried NSA and ZAN thus far and neither will work. They fit too loose in the magazine and are causing it to jam and not cycle correctly. Just wondering if anyone has found a good slug that seats well in the magazine and still shoots decent?

If so, please post the Brand and Weight of the slugs you've found that work. Also, what velocity have you found gives the best accuracy?

Thanks...
254 AVS 42 grain flat base slugs

From reading it seems like most people are having decent performance as long as the slugs are .254 in size? AVS slugs makes them in flat, cupped, dished, and hollow based. Has anyone found which works best with the GK1 as far as the type of base if the cupped, dished or hollow base is better than the typical flat base slugs? When I read posts in the projectile forum it sounds like it is dependent on the type of gun and barrel which is why I am curious if anyone has gone beyond just the diameter but tried the different types of bases that can be purchased to see if one design is better?

Krazykool recommends 25 42 grain flat base. Spoke to Steven at AVS and he likes them too.
