250 Bar Valve On a 300 Bar Bottle

250 bar valve on a 300 bar bottle for M3 and Wildcat MkIII

Both dual regulated and and capable of using a 300 bar bottle. If a 300 bar bottle is attached to the rifle and fill it to 300bar, Can a 250 bar valve be used as long as you don't remove the bottle until it has less than 250 bar?

Personally No....
If it is not Rated for 300 Bars.... Don't use at 300 Bars
Never use any piece of HPA equipment and fitting beyond it's rating!!!

Speaking of rating….. not to hijack this thread but-
Has anyone got paperwork for the small Carette filter offered by Joe B/Topgun-Airguns?
Just curious if it has been pressure rated.

Using a 250 bar valve on a 300 bar bottle is fine. Ppl like to exaggerated and make it seem like you messing with a nuke about to go off. Yes hpa is dangerous but these pcp and bottle and valves are tested 3 times their rated pressure for safety. So using a 250 bar valve on a 300 bar bottle is only 50 bar different. Not even close to its bursting point which is like over 10,000 psi.

Not sure on the wildcat BT, but the impact can’t use the 250bar tank valve because it’s different. Not sure if this is the same on the other 300b rifles, but I’d double check before using it. Not that it’ll hurt anything, you just won’t get air from the bottle.

From what I’ve been told by a reputable tuner/shooter and by a manufacturer, applying 300bar pressure to a 250bar valve will shorten the overall life of the valve.
How much? No idea.
So I fill my 300bar bottle to 250bar. No issues in a year and a half of shooting.
