28 USA competitors signed up to shoot 2025 Worlds!

Looks like there is 28 USA competitors signed up to shoot the WFTF World Championship in Northern Ireland this summer. To say the USA will be well represented is a understatement. Shooting the way the sport was intended to be played, 12 ft lbs on a bum bag is quite the challenge! Hopefully we get plenty of practice and matches in the wind and open fields to prepare for this adventure!

I was wondering what the process is for traveling with the rifles? Are there are extra forms that people have to fill out when they fly? Are there many differences with paperwork from domestic to international? Thanks.
Yes there is a firearms certificate that needs to be sent to the police dept in both Northern Ireland and Ireland if you fly into Dublin, as well as application fees. We are figuring out the process with the FT vets that have been down this road before. Even the airlines is some red tape to deal with and also customs. A little stressful but I'm sure it will be a great shooting experience and we'll worth the hassle. I got bit by the Grand Prix bug a few years ago and after shooting my first Worlds in Mesa it just added more fuel to the fire. My wife and I have been wanting to visit Ireland for awhile and this trip will be killing 2 birds with one shot. With nearly 1/10th of the field from MERICA we will be well represented.

Sounds great! Thanks for the information I was wondering how it worked traveling with your own guns as opposed to buying one while you were there. I was in the UK this past fall and would have loved to bring an air rifle home to the US, but that appears to be unworkable. The town I used to work in over there (60,000) people had two airgun shops!

28!!! Thats a great turnout! Do you know if everyone that wanted to go were able to? Or was that the maximum the USA could get registered?
I believe we were alloted 30 spots but I am not certain. If that was the case then everyone who wanted to go is in. The whole process has to be done through AAFTA so one of our fine AAFTA representatives may know the answer.
