I’ve got to say right up front. I had a wonderful experience at EBR this year. Everyone was very friendly and helpful the entire time. I’m already making plans to attend next year. But I’ll save my plans and experiences for a later post.
My 2nd qualifying card was quite a wonderful experience. As in the past, sat down with air full and magazines full. One difference this year. I wasn’t using the FX magazines. I elected to use my Montster magazine. Because it holds 30 shots in the .30 caliber. The clock was set and 30 minutes started. I began with shooting sighters, one shot, two shots, three shots and finally a forth shot. I was ready to move up. What happened next was crazy. I shot the next 25 shots nonstop, 29 shots total. I never stopped to fill my gun or my magazine. It happen so fast I hadn’t even realized that one magazine had completely completed my work.
When I stopped, I pulled the magazine out to safety up the gun. That’s when I realized what just happened. I shot the entire thing with out a magazine change. Opening the magazine, there was one pellets left. I turned around to show a friend. When the announcement came “don’t forget about the pellet challenge “..
I turned around and stuck the magazine with one pellet in the gun. And shot the pellet challenge.
I had just completed my 2nd round card with one magazine.
I scored a 232 and advanced on to finals.
In the end, I managed to finsh 3rd over all using my Montster magazine the entire time.
