.30 AAA PARADIGM PELLET

I’ve been pondering an AAA Evol Paradigm in 30 cal for a while. Was on AofA site last night and it said out of stock make another selection. So I emailed them to see what lead time is for one. Hoping it was maybe six months or so as I’m not ready at moment to commit.
About five to ten minutes later my phone rings. It’s Rich at AofA. He says he has one of that exact gun in stock. Despite my better judgement, it will be here next week. He threw in two tins of 44 grain JSB’s to start.
Did a search here but nothing popped up with my inquiry as to a pellet that works well for a lot of owners. I’ll probably email AAA with the question but thought I would start here. Primary use is pesting.
Slugs aren’t out of the question if there’s a good one for hunting.

@rcs9250 Depending upon your tune and barrel I’d say AOA hooked you up with the right pellet. Dunno if AAA uses any different barrels in their more recent Evol iterations. Check with @_CTAIRGUNNER_ @Peskådot671 @Airgun-hobbyist. They should know.

My Evol .30 shooting those same JSB pellets likes the 850s - 870s fps range.

The evol .30 and the JSB 44.75/FX 44.8 (same pellet) were meant to be.

I can shoot sub MOA all day long at 100 with my paradigm, just last night I shot 4 magazines (36 pellets) in this group (not sub MOA but impressive IMHO none the less). The Paradigm and the Tac 18" Evol are the same rifles, a friend of mine who received his Evol .30 Tac printed the second group at 100 (5 shots) wednesday night and just had to show me!

Oh and @rcs9250 welcome to the club!

Those calls like that are evil lol. I called to inquire about some accessories and ended up putting a redwolf on order before I was done lol.

Grats on the new rifle. Which one did you get? I've been looking at them myself as they have quite a following here.
MD, Rich had the exact rifle I had inquired about.

CT, thank you for the info. Sounds like Rich was spot on for the recommendation. Really looking forward to getting it sighted in and getting into the woods before it gets to cold out. With where I pest, I’m lucky to get a 35 yard shot but I get good dope from 10 to 50 yards in 5 yard increments. But I’ll definitely need to try the 100 yard range at my gun club. Thank you.

At 50 it will have you questioning whether or not you are missing after the first shot on target ;)

happy shooting!

That's a great selection; well worth the wait and money's spent. This gun and barrel are designed to be an accurate pellet shooter. Any of the three JSB pellets offered in .30 is going to shoot well. If used double duty as a bench and pesting gun then look at the JSB Hades as well. They fly just as tight of a group at those yardages. Unless you are shooting anything longer than the common 100 yards, don't bother going down the "slug rabbit hole", those pellets will be the better choice shooting paper and on game; especially the Hades. The 56 grain ZAN pellets are good long range shooters too, but the extra weight requires a bit of adjustment to get the speeds up, which can also effect accuracy. If you want a good slug go right to the FX Hybrids.

I have thought a lot about buying a Paradigm.

I ended buying the Wolverine non HR with a 700 cc bottle. I am super happy with that rifle. It shot at 91 fpe the 44.7 JSB'S and it is insane accurate at 220 yards.

Maybe the Paradigm is a "better" rifle, but for sure the Wolverine gives more shots per fill and I do like it "a lot"!
Yeah, I agree with the shot count on your Wolverine. The approximate 36 shots per fill on the Paradigm is entirely adequate for my hunting use as I’m never very far from my car for a refill if needed. But 36 shots would be one hell of a hunt. Generally if I shoot a dozen, that’s a good day. Now if I was out west where they have lots of prairie dogs and ground squirrels, a higher shot count would be preferred. So in that case maybe pack a guppy or next size up SCBA for refills.
