.30 Bottled Marauder at 30 yards

Winds are coming from the SW at 12mph and gusting up to 15mph. This is -32 degrees relative to my shooting position left to right. Single front sand bag shouldering the stock. I filled the gun and let 28 44gr JSB's fly. No wind correction, just held on a spot and fired away. Here are the results. 28 shots with 44gr JSB's at 860fps

Afterwards, I refilled and shot 4 mags(28shots) at my 75 yard steel targets. 28 for 28.

Target pictures printed 90degrees counter clockwise from how they were shot. Had one shot that went high and dead center that ruined what could have been 1 ragged hole. Just as I touched off the trigger the wind almost stopped for a spilt second, and the result was one pellet out of 28 that didn't go were I needed it to!! Still very impressed with this .30 and very happy with the new shot count after adding the bottle.

rockymtbikerGreat shooting. And I'm impressed with how the .30 bucks the wind. I'm more and more convinced that the .30 is a great choice; not too large for small game and yet capable of bucking the wind and packing a punch for bigger game. Well done, AJ; thanks for sharing.

I am very impressed with the .30!! I am getting a bc around .05 out of the TJ barrel. It has been windy since I finished adding the bottle, but prior on calm to a low breeze, it us a single hole at 30 yards. I have 2" spinners at 75 yards and hit them every single shot in this same wind today.

I have a TJ barrel ordered for my Condor SS project; your results make me just that much more eager to get started on it. I'll be extremely pleased if I am able to get the same kind of accuracy (I may have to have you shoot the gun for me, AJ). Again, great job, and the rifle looks great too.
