.30 cal Crown with 47.2 gr. NSA @ 880 fps vs. Groundhog's.

Groundhogs are wrecking my brother's place. Dug 4 holes under the foundation of his shed.

Really impressed how the big .30 packs a punch. Took out 4 so far and none moved from the spot they fell. Longest range shot was 76 yards.

I didn't see the LDC thats why I edited that part out.

I ask because I've shot 43 NSA 30cal@950+fps less than 20yds at grey squirrels and it not pass-through.

I can't imagine not getting passthroughs on squirrels with that power level and weight of slug. The 43's were considerably less accurate and I noticed a lot of imperfections in them. The 47.2 and 49.5 were equally accurate but the 47.2 had better trajectory and power.

The one in the photo was a beast...probably 20 lbs. It was a head shot and blew through at 76 yards. Had a shoulder shot on a 15 lb one at 35 yards that also exited.
