Western Airguns .30 cal Full/Semi-Auto Carbine…….what?!

I’ve got the larger version. It is a tack driver and the way I currently have it configured I think I’m getting 85 fpe.

Trigger is good, but not great. It’s noisier than I’d like, (I’m going to have to find a better ldc), and it needs mounting locations for sling swivels on the rear 1/4 of the gun.

It will shoot 1” groups at 60 yards all day long however and has been flawlessly reliable.

Action near your ears? Pass

Form follows function? The form factor is a huge pass...I don't want to rest my cheek on a cold piece of flat metal.

Am I supposed to use the bottle as a foregrip because the foregrip is abysmal otherwise...

It doesn't have to win beauty contests, but it doesn't have to look like it was cobbled together by some 3rd grader.

The gap between the tube and barrel could fit the whole box of crayons that it was likely sketched with.

That’s cool……maybe a Benjamin Fortitude or Beeman QB Chief would be more to your liking. I’ll happily shoot the supremely engineered guns offered by the “3rd graders” at WAG.

Full auto is a nifty gimmick. I'm glad it's got the option, but on a .30 firing at around 900 fps IMO there isn't really any practical purpose for it, except for creating envy among your powder burning friends. My experience has been that it has too much recoil to just dump a magazine into a tight group. Maybe it could in a smaller caliber or at a lower power though.

I agree but its nice to have the option. I'm curious about them some and hoping to see one at a field sometime. Though more than likely I'll want one if I do.

Once you have any experience with full-auto, you know the goal is short, controlled bursts.

Well, there's another forum member blocked....

Can't say I'm a huge fan of bullpups either. But the compact concept is a cool one, especially if it performs. I'm curious how full auto is with these guns. That could get expensive quick!
Stubbers by chance? That dude misquoted me, twisted my words to fit his narrative, and then immediately blocked me yesterday just so he could get the last word in. You aren't going to be missing anything by blocking him.

To OP I dont blame you for wanting one. I'm a springer guy through and through but even I have been eyeballing the Sidewinder lately. It looks like it would be an absolute blast at the range.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed what he did. He made condescending remarks about those who like quality high end rifles. I ended up writing a novel in response lol.

I'm with you, while a full auto mode wouldnt be used much, it could be fun. The semi auto mode sounds solid and fun. Its certainly on my radar.

Zero of my PB friends are envious of airguns honestly, certainly of this monstrosity.

Well he didnt like my detailed reply to him and snubbing his nose in the air towards those that buy high end rifles. He made a snide reply then blocked me so that I couldnt see it or reply. Why even reply except to run his mouth more. Its sad.
