It's a simple Garbage In, Garbage Out scenario. I have no idea who got it wrong when, and how those numbers proliferated through various companies websites. But one thing is for certain, those BC numbers were never on the FX Hybrid packaging for the last few years, and that's the numbers I've been using and I never had a problem.
It's hard to know how RMR did their testing to get such a different BC, but FX testing is right, and that is what is printed on their packaging. Now if the packaging said BC .102, then the gripes would definitely be justified.
Well before u make a response pointing fingers. on EVERY website even rmr,,utah airgun, pyrmid air exc they all state they are .102. ... The Manufacturer which is rmr states they are .102.. But hey guess u didnt look that far into it. This was a thread expressing my experience and to help others be aware.
JUST SAYING
No, I believed the BC number that
the manufacturer's grandchild coded into the
manufacturer's Element Optics app.
It's wholly my fault.
Matthias
I don't know exactly how close FX and Element Optics are, but they need to keep their kids away from the computer!
Yeah, Element screwed the pooch on that one!
Just plain wrong. You buy anything, and you have to take it on faith, and the companies reputation, that what you bought is what you got. Otherwise we'd all need testing labs for everything. Whoever made and marketed the product should be approving the copy that ends up getting printed, on their label AND their website. Don't be ridiculous. Just saying.
In a perfect world, you are correct. But I guess that also goes for the distributors too right? I wonder how long it would take Pyramyd Air to update their website if someone complained?
...The Manufacturer which is rmr states they are .102.. But hey guess u didnt look that far into it....
I certainly didn't. I grabbed the numbers off of the package, and that was that for me, because I expected that to have gone through all of the checks that everyone else (Utah Airguns, Pyramyd, etc. ) didn't, and ensure the numbers were right.
I have never even heard of RMR until your post, and honestly, I thought you were talking about two different slugs!
Looks like the industry has some splaining to do...
