.30 cal Hybrid slugs.

Hay out there in plett land hope all is well. I was wondering how fast should I run the hybrid slugs 44gr in a 700mm barrel. Thanks

They were great for me between 850-900. Over 950 they just didnt like it. Another guy just posted on here his maverick at 900 as well with some serious accuracy. Right around 900 seems to be the ticket from what Ive seen/read

I'm shooting them @ 1030 fps out of both of my Impacts...one has a 29" TJ barrel (1:26 Twist) & the other the new 700mm Superior Standard (1:23 Twist). 

TJ has hundreds of rounds down it...just got the Superior yesterday and am still seasoning it in. 

I've gotten MOA down to 880 fps...depends on lots of tune factors (reg, hammer tension, valve stroke, etc).

Both Impacts have the reg @ 165 BAR and my standard deviation is 2-4 fps. Justin at UAG is getting MOA or better out to 155 yards with the reg @ 160 BAR and a MV of 1020 fps using the new Superior Standard 1:23 Twist.

One has an enlarged port in the brass fitting and the other has the Huma brass fitting with dual ports...both have factory single port probes.

When I dial the power wheel to Minimum my velocity is 880 fps for shooting 44 gr JSB pellets.

Does your gun require that much pressure to make the velocity or is the regulator so high for tuning purposes?

I'm thinking it shouldn't need over 120 bar to reach that speed with such a light slug.
