.30 cal ZAN 56 grain pellets

Mine shipped from UA a day or two back, so hoping to receive them early next week. Might be a while before I get any longer distance testing in, but I'll be doing some shorter range testing with them in my Leshiy 2 @ ~100fpe. Looking forward to another 30cal pellet option.

The whole batch of Superior SLUG .25 liners was defective and it shot like a crap. Superior HEAVY should be fine though.Not sure what you’re talking about?

First I heard. As far as I know there are four versions.

Superior Heavy
Slug
Superior Slug
The one I shot the ZAN slugs with (37 and 41) was a 700mm Slug in my .25 Impact. I’m not sure which one is in my 600mm Panthera because it’s not labeled or laser engraved.
The older Slug A will shoot the NSA 38.9 and 43.5 well but not the ZANs.
The Superior Heavy I have won’t shoot anything well.
The Slug as noted in a previous post shoots the 37 and 41 ZANs well.
The one in my Pantera(?) shoots the Altaros very well…

Nothing is yet known what is next. Probably some .223, they are popular here now, few countries to the east.

I have an early batch superior slug and it has about zero grooves...it's almost a smooth bore. That little glint that looks like a scratch is a rifling impression.

Sometimes I wonder: if the users returned all the crappy liners which they had received, would FX go bankrupt? FX said that the users should return the liners which seem to be defective. I would say: be careful what you wish for.

Well got mine this morning, first thing broke out the scales. They come in 2 trays of 77 so weighed out a whole tray. I had 1 55.92 and 1 56.04 the rest were 55.94, 55.96 and 55.98. They seem to be very clean. Now for the fun part

Hummm, first 13 down the barrel .55 at 73yrds 844 fps with my 50gr tune. Shoots the 50's at 875

Well I shot them all weekend at the Wasatch league and they don’t do bad, the bc was closer to .053, I had hoped it would be a little higher, but lots of testing left to do, the impacts have no problem pushing them over 900, they were about 80-100 fps slower than the 44s for comparison.
by the way, the pre order at UA was under subscribed by a lot, so that tells me if ya wanted them? They were available and they are definitely mass production! Multiple people were shooting them.

Got mine yesterday from PA. Just a few quick shots to chrono in the Leshiy 2. Sending them at 935 fps. Felt that was a little hot and close up accuracy wasn't awesome but good. Will slow them down under 900 and hope to test more within the week.
