I also want people to know I use plugs made by Mike Niksch and so you can better see the actual ring with much better accuracy and definition.

just to get this straight , when your shooting the target is always hung vertical , correct ? because i see some bench targets hung horizontal, in use . which to me when i look at your targets the wind drift is off .Got the Revere back from AoA.
Wanted to get an o-ring total reseal. Thank you Shane!

Tommy, I suggest you check with your local or a neighboring fire department to find out who they use for their tank hydrotesting. Also, check for any fire extinguisher sales/service businesses in your area as many of those provide hydrotesting services.Went out early this morning. Got to the bench at 8am.
Wind was light at about 1-2/3 mph. One near flag deployed.
I started at 40Y with the RAW TM1000x .177 shooting FX 13.4g from 802-812 fps range. First card was an awful 185 and the second was a 190 something. Both were DQ’d because of fliers due to me not seating pellet correctly.
Joe C - chime in here. What I have finally discovered is that I ‘must’ fully press with my thumb, the pellet anll the way into chamber. I have noticed occasionally I have a bit of a hard time cocking all the way, if pellet is not 100% flush inside thimble. The TM1000x pellet probe is very sensitive and now I know that I was blaming some bad pellets because I wasn’t seating pellets completely flush with thimble.
I tested this many times today. Every single time my cocking cycle was not completely smooth, the pellet probe would force the pellet further into the chamber. It may need adjustment also, not sure.
When I finally figured this out, my accuracy improved.
One Leaderboard entry for May:
Taipan Vet 2
199-17X 30 Y Masters
Next up, Taipan Vet2 .22 cal 700mm barrel. Shot a few 30Y Masters, but nothing for the leaderboard in May. A couple 195’s, but I previously shot a 197 already in a prior session.

One note: My Great White 9L fill tank needs a 5-year certification and the turnaround is slow because this is the start of scuba dive season. I may be out of action until I get this completed. Might be a few weeks.

If you hang the target portrait the wind is say east then pellets can move to the right of POA if the target is hung landscape then the drift looks up when posted here as portrait . A lot of bench rest shooters hang landscape so they don't have to adj. vertical as often for practice .Not following…
I do always shoot vertical ( portrait vs. landscape) hung targets. I suppose I could try hanging them horizontally.
What does shooting vertically vs. horizontally have to do with windrift? Can you clarify?

Taipan Vet 2
199-17X 30 Y Masters
JSB 20.83 Light ( First time I tried this pellet and had to turn down the Speed Dialer to get it flying at 905-910 FPS ) Both the JTS 22.07g and JSB 20.83g shoot great. Same with the AEA 21.9g.

Thanks NA, I really haven’t done any tuning to the gun they come pretty set from Martin. It shoots the original 13.4 jsb’s at around 815fps, I put an air stripper on it “barrel likes it better than a moderator!” I have a Athlon 15-60x56 Ares ETR scope on it, it’s ok! But better choices out there for just a little more$$ “think sightron”.
I do want to say that at 40yds with a .177 much wind especially a switching or variable speed wind your already behind the Eight ball! That’s why I normally post what my flags are doing because people can understand why I might shoot a score like tonight, mind you this might be the best 40yrd card I ever shoot with this gun and barrel!.
