Hi, here is my card from the Northeast - Connecticut.

I hyper polished my .22 Cayden trigger a couple days ago and now have it breaking at 5.6 ounces with consistency. Also polished the bolt but not the hammer - yet.

I spent the yesterday and a few hours today doing same and more on my .177 Akela - got trigger breaking consistently at 5.8 ounces on a bullpup! I polished bolt, hammer everything on the Akela.

When I finished reassembling the Akela I shot a few groups- awesome results.

Then I grabbed the Cayden and took just 25 shots- 1st shot to check zero and then these 24. JSB 14.35g at 878fps.

13xs I believe is the best I’ve done - and 195 ties my .177 Dreamline score.

Can I have multiple guns on the leaderboard?

Hello @EPD

Outstanding results (y) .

Shot four cards yesterday as a part of my investigation into the whether or not pellet sorting makes sense. I have shot 144 of the FX 13.4 pellets for this series, but typically have cards in the mid-180's with 4 or 5 x's. The card below was the best I have shot in this series and since I haven't posted a card in 2023 I thought this one would have to do. A 190 with 7X's (actually had 8 X's, but one was in a block with a 7 so I dropped the block.

I am using aluminum scoring pins which are a bit generous, though the head size for the .177 caliber is only .1725 in (4.41mm). I probably should use pellets instead :) .
My investigation has found the FX 13.4's are a very consistent size and weight (4.55 mm and 13.45-13.55 gr), but the LW Polygonal barrel on the Brocock doesn't really get the best out of them at the speed I am shooting (826 fps - staying around 20 fpe).

I shot just two targets today. I hit the same score on both - 192.

I used two different .177 rifles - Dreamline and Prophet Performance.

The Dreamline is handicapped by using a FFP scope at 17x - the reticle on an Argos Gen 1 is pretty thick by 17x. The Athlon Argos Gen 2s are much thinner- much better scopes. I have a Sightron 45x coming, so that should help, lol.

Question on scoring, the .177 holes are small - I may actually be scoring better if the holes are enlarged to .22 size. Is this allowed?

My first submission. My best card so far, but I hope to do better. I'm especially happy with these results shooting a modest Gamo Urban .22. Full disclosure, ThomasT sold me a very nice benchrest scope that helps.

I was not prepared for what objects look like using a 46X scope. Before installing it I held it up to view outside my house and all I could see was black. Then after some trial and error I was surprised to see a keyhole the size of a frisbee. I was lost viewing the side of my neighbor's black truck! The eye relief takes some getting used to, but once I find the sweet spot I can move the tiny floating dot around inside the 30-Yard target bullseye--amazing. Using my old 4X scope the center x was much larger than the bullseye.

Not a high score, but I’m pretty proud of this 182 with my recently hyper polished Akela .177.

First 30 Yard Challenge target shot since reassembling the Akela yesterday.

This was shot with a 14x scope, in fading light at dusk today. I could barely see the center dot.

Can’t wait to see how good the Akela can do when I can see the target better. May have to put a 6x24 scope on as well.
