Chris - need some pics of that new Revere. I have a lefty stock .22 on order from AoA. That 880 FPS is right in the wheel house for the Revere. Have you shot and chrony’d the 18.1 yet?
I think the 18.1 will shoot just as good or better in your Revere. I had the Regal XL bolt action and both pellets were very accurate; a slight edge to the 18g

@JimD - Nice improvement with your P-35 .22! Thanks for showing us your wind flag. I use an old arrow (from my archery days) with 2' of dental floss tied to a piece of tissue on the end. It is very sensitive and will pick up the wind even when it feels absolutely calm. I'm working on my wind holds as well. Keep at it.

I have not tried any other pellets yet. The guys at AoA where I bought the rifle suggested the 15.89's. I'll give those 18.1's a try I think I have every pellet made in my shop!
Here are a few close-up pics of the nice wood grain and flame. I need to oil it up and polish it, so it shines!

Nice wind flag. What did you use for the nose ball? I’m not sure how high your flag is but I find flags most useful when you get them on the same level as your pellet’s flight path. Also try hanging your tail up on the upper rear corner so it’s up in the flight path too.

That is a very small portion of my knife collection. I know I have over 150 knives.
I also make knives from scratch. I cut and grind the blades, do the heat treating and make the handles.

That is really pretty flame grain. Unlike crotch grain, flame grained wood is normally very stable. Wood working is my "other hobby". I've made a wood fore end for a shotgun and a wood stock for a LH 22 rimfire but haven't attempting making a "pretty stock" for my PCPs yet. If I do, I'd love to find a piece of wood with this sort of grain to use.
The nose ball on my wind flags is a smooth surface styrofoam ball from hobby lobby. I got a bag of 6 for about $4. I used some left over house paint to paint the front half red. I think the balls are 2.3 inches in diameter. The strip of caution tape doesn't show up well in the picture but it hangs from the back bottom corner and works well. I used epoxy to hold the ball and the piece of the sign to the steel rod and the wooden pivot piece.
I shot a 179 with my P35-177 using 10.5 grain Crosman pellets today. Anybody else try these really inexpensive pellets? That isn't quite as good as it did with H&N Baracuda Match pellets but it was better than I expected.

I've been shooting Crosman 10.5s in my P35-177 after discovering they are about as accurate as the Baracuda Match 10.65s I previously decided were most accurate. I shot a few magazines yesterday at a target while the wind was blowing up to 7 mph. I shot at each target until I got a shot into at least the 8 ring. Several were one shot but one took 11 shots. I still need to work on shooting in the wind but this seemed like a good way to practice. The Crosmans are inexpensive.
Today there is much less wind, nearly none, but it is misting slightly. I was bored so I shot a target. To my surprise I equaled my best score with the Match pellets with a couple more Xs. So here is my very slightly improved 177 target with the same P35 but using Crosman 10.5 grain pellets. I think it scores 184 with 6Xs.

I bought a pellet gage and have been sorting some CPHP’s and have found that my Avenger consistency shoots the smallest groups with 5.53mm head sizes, regardless of brand and weight.
However, CPHP’s usually move around more in slight breezes so I don’t normally shoot them at 30 yards and beyond. We’ve got a storm rolling in and it was unusually calm so I thought I’d give them a go. The first card was shot with 5.52s.
The second card with 5.53s. I always knew that this gun could should a 200 if the stars aligned and I did my part but I didn’t think it would ever happen first with Wally World’s CPHPs.
Then the wind picked up and the lighter CPHPs starting moving too much so I witched to FX18s straight from the tin. I’m glad I did

Here is my attempt! For being new to airguns and struggling with the tuning process it was a great feeling to watch it all come together.
How would you score the right target on 4 and the left 8? X’s or 10’s?

Both appear to be Xs. You just have to touch the center black dot to score an X. Try plugging both with a .22LR bullet or case.
