I did not get a chance to test the shrouded .30 vs the tensioned .30 I went straight for the tensioned kit from fx. I have had great sucess with it, no POI shift, most slugs shoot well, all pellets have shot well aside from apolos. The slugs would shoot better if using a better magazine like the hunterTACtical or the orioniguana hunter.

I had both and tested at long 100 M range with several thousand shots.
Started with the integrated shroud tuner, when the tensioner kit surfaced I got that one to try, back now to tuner again.
Stiffening the barrel or the liner is not an improvement in my eyes.
