35 cal impact w/ Bullet Central shroud and tensioner

Good morning all,

I wanted to share some info about the Bullet Central shroud and tensioner combination, as well as mention that I had a very positive experience with Bullet Central.

As some know, I have the Huma barrel tensioner installed. However, what is more important is the BC system will work with the Huma design.

To work, you will need Around 449.25mm tensioner sleeve. 430.2125mm carbon fiber accounts for the existing huma sleeve length + around 19mm for the missing gap portion. This setup would be approx. 2mm longer to allow for tension to be applied to the liner lock and barrel. If there are any slight variations from gun to gun, an oring or delrin spacer can be made and used to compensate.

Bullet Central will also send you the parts dissassembled for you to custom fit.

See attached photos. My sleeve was a little short, so I made a spacer to compensate. The measurement I listed above accounts for the length and is correct.

So I finally got to shoot the gun since I put in the 35 cal FX heavy liner, tensioner, and shroud.

I am once again in love with the gun. Not only is it substantially quieter, it is quieter at a higher 2nd reg setting.

My 2nd reg is now set at 190 bar. No 1st reg. With a 700cc bottle I get between 8 and 10 shots per 250 bar. With the 93 grain NSA .357 slugs I am nearly 930fps. Awesome hunting accuracy too. Resting off my tailgate I was achieving 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. That is also with less than 50 rounds down the new pipe.

It was around a 1 mil drop at 100 yards and around 5.5 mil at 150 yards. I shot a water bottle at both ranges.

Below is a picture of some shots on my spinner at 50 yards. The 1st couple shots were a tad low and left. I dialed her in and you can see the 3 in the center. Again, resting off my tailgate and at 930 fps.

I know there is more in her, but at the cost of less shots per fill. Some may recall, I have launched 93 grain NSA slugs before at 975fps in the original superior liner. Accuracy was not there with that liner. The standard liner liked 860 to 890 fps for accuracy.

I also elected to not run the Huma light weight valve adjuster spring because it is picky and I have issues with blowing the tiny oring on the end of the valve. It is just more finicky, but also would yield even more speed. However, I like the quicker dwell time on the valve.
