362 Crosman, stupid mistake

I have a 362 Crosman which I love, I stupidly put some gun chamber lube in the air tube, the gun would not build pressure, I called Crosman and they gave me a tip on what to do, it didn't fix it , tried an alcohol flush, didn't work, now I have air in the chamber that I can't get out, they told me to cock and fire without any pumping, I have done this several times, will this solve the problem? I don't really want to have to send it in. Thanks

i am not sure what came first here
the reason for you to add any kind of oil was what for and before the oil was added the rifle was functioning correctly ?????
alcohol as in rubbing alcohol if you use 70% has water in it and as the alcohol flashes off the water will remain and that could be a problem at some point
why the rifle will not pump up after all that you have done is odd
something doesn't make sense

It sounds like you are experiencing valve lock. High amounts of lube in the valve decreased the valve volume drastically and increased the potential for high pressure when pumped that the hammer can't overcome when fired. If you pump it, and it feels like pump 8 would or harder, than there is pressure in the valve, high pressure at that. If you pump it and it feels like the first pump and you hear air escape the seals are blown. If you have valve lock you can remove the rear cap and hammer spring and tap the back of the hammer to release the air. Look up crosman valve lock videos on YouTube.
Hope you resolve this.
