3D-Printed Airgun Moderators by PBM (me)

Hy Airgunnation!

I´ve been working on a project for a while and it´s pretty much finished for now.
I designed and 3D printed 2 different types of an Airgun moderator.

The first one is the "PBM Echo" - it´s the smaller one, really tiny and good looking on small guns like my FX DreamTac Compact.
It shuts the gun down from 88dB (without moderator) to 81dB (with PBM Echo). As a comparison, i measured 77dB with a DonnyFL Tatsu on it.

The second one is the larger "PBM Ringo". Its made of 2 parts so it can be disassembled for cleaning. It shuts my DreamTac Compact down to 77dB - which is exactly what i am measuring with a DonnyFL Tatsu.

The files are published on Thingiverse, see the link below. Feel free to download and print your own, in Europe i can do the print job for you if you´d like.
The Moderators on the pictures are also sand-blasted for a nicer surface finish and the PBM Ringo is equipped with an O-ring for smoother assembly and disassembly (but is not required for use). If you want a sand-blasted PBM Moderator for yourself in Europe and don´t own a printer, just let me know.

Note: At the moment these moderators are NOT FOR .30 Cal! Anything up to .25 will work well.
Use these moderators at your own risk! I´ve printed them using PETG material and shot a few hundres shots without issues even at 160bar reg pressures, anyway i cannot guarantee that it wont blow up!

Nice! Have you tried it out yet?

You can edit the size of an image when you edit post, even a quoted one. I should have done that in the first place but did not think of it.

I have not tried the suppressor out yet. I am still tweaking the print. The OP says he got about 17 dB reduction in noise at the muzzle. That represents an 8 fold reduction in detectable range. If for example you could detect the shot at 500 yards without the suppressor and you added one with 18dB of suppression the detectable range would be reduced to about 63 (8/500=62.5). The baffles look good. The device as supplied is for a .177 cal gun. My 17 does not support a standard 1/2 UNF.

His design is good and he should consider making them available. It's not a bad looking device.
