3D printer guys who’ve used 30mm to 1” inserts, before I buy

Do they hold up? Do they slip in say a springer?
Do the ones with lips hold still better?
Do they provide extra cushioning for a scope or possibly prevent any damage?

Lots of questions and 3 sets are only like 12 bucks but I figured I’d ask before I grab them.
The lipped ones are 10-23 each set
Plain plastic inserts $4 per set

I would just use the proper sized scope mounts, especially on a springer.

JamesD. Hey, I've got at least 2 sets, maybe 3 you're welcome to. I'll never use them. Just pay postage. PM me. I think they're the lipped ones.

but for a non-springer they would be fine and it would give you a chance to move up to a 30mm scope later and they will protect the scope surface

I’ve had them on 30 ft lb guns and the hold well.. at least the ones I had.. rarely doesn the scope move in the mounts. if it’s gonna move it will move both the mounts on the dovetail.. only when your getting piston slam or gas rammed guns. tune the gun and no more slam.. fix the brakes before putting new engine in..

If they are 3D printed I would question the accuracy of the fit to both the scope and the 30mm ring.
