4000 PSI P-Rod? Oops.

I was at the local indoor range tonight and as I was filling my P-Rod a guy bumped my hand. The pressure in my P-Rod spiked to about 4000PSI before I could shut off the valve. I shot it down to 1500 with no issues afterward, but I'm curious if there's anything I should be looking for as potential reprecussions. Obviously leaks. Anything else?

If the valve worked enough for you to shoot it everything should be fine. I'm sure there's a 3 to 1 safety factor for air gun air-tubes. So f none of the o-rings gave away or the valve still work for you to shoot it I can't think of any other possible effects from the over fill.

The prod has a 3 to 1 safety factor. My only concern would be the valve retention screws, but being only one over fill, you are probably safe. You could replace the valve screws for piece of mind if you wanted to.

Did a disco to 3000, Crosman gauge freaked out for about 3-4 fills, then it returned to normal. No leaks.
