Nice groups. I see your 95 likes those FX pellets. I'll have try some of them in my rifles. And of course the 97K likes H&N.

Good guns for sure but at our monthly indoor 20 meter silhoutte shots most of the guns are HW97s. The winners of the last 6 matches are 4 for TX200, 2 for Diana 75. Just sayin, ya know.Hw are always the Best in Air Guns !
Wow! Thanks for sharing. What is the distances? I just ordered a HW97K, I did consider the TX200 but it was significantly more and my google/youtube research indicated they were pretty much even in accuracy. I can only hope this was an anomaly!Good guns for sure but at our monthly indoor 20 meter silhoutte shots most of the guns are HW97s. They are pretty much the same accuracy wise, as well as the prosport.Wow! Thanks for sharing. What is the distances? Well, I guess they are, I read what you read. But, just reporting what have been the results the last 6 months. I have never shot a 97. I started with the TX for easier take down plus I like walnut stocks. But if I look at those results plus the winter 10 meter league in another town I attend, the most consistent winners all shoot TXs.Now, we also have a guy in the 10 meter league,, a retired farmer who shoots an HW30 who is very often in the money with 2nds and thirds and sometimes a first. So I think it's whoever puts the work in. I just put a new spring in my TX tonight. I started getting bad shots that did not seem right. Ran it overly the chronograph and found I had lost over 100fps in the last year. The spring was twisted in the middle. Put a new vorteck in, I wiil see how it shoots tomorrow. I figure I shot 330 days in the last year at a minimum of 60 shots per day. That spring has over 20,000 shots on it. Enjoy your new gun its a great game.Wow! Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the additional comments. Really nice to read comments from a TX shooter. I have a HW30 and to be honest I’m amazed at how accurate it i straight out of the box. If you don’t mind sharing a bit more about your shooting, what distance# do you shoot and how tight are your groups? What caliber are you shooting? I have never even seen a TX200 or a HW97 in real life let alone shoot them. thanks you JeffPPC.Well, I guess they are, I read what you read. For an HW95 I'd probably go with .177. .177 will shoot flatter and be easier to hit targets with at 40 yards and beyond. .22 will hit harder and for hunting at under 40 yards is probably the better choice. .20 splits the difference and is very well suited to an HW95, but it has never been a popular choice so there are very few pellets available in .20 and they cost about twice as much. .25 is just too big for an HW95 unless you're just planning on hunting and pest control at 30 yards or less.New member here and I don't even have a rifle yet but I and patient and sucking in the knowledge.
But I have shot a hw95 in 22 caliber that was a friend of mine. He used h&n 5.53 and a hollow point that look like a crow Magnum but was different I forget what it was called but it was insanely accurate with that hollow point at 50 yards.
But I do have a question. What do you think is a better caliber choice?

Totally understandable. Even though my experience with different brands and models and calipers is very very limited, that 95 and 22 caliber seem like it was stacking those Hunter extreme hollow points at 50 yards beautifully. And since I didn't know the name of the previous pellets I called them cro Magnum they are Hunter extremes by h& nOh boy! This is one of those forever discussions Josiah! It really boils down to personal choice. I prefer .22 caliber but I still shoot a lot of .177's. The HW95 really does not have a bad caliber but .22 is the most common ammo.
An HW95 is an accurate gun in any caliber, but HW seems to have the reputation for delivering the best accuracy in .177. There was a thread on here about that about a month or so ago.Totally understandable.
