.457 Donnyfl from .457 Texan to .357 Texan

I have a Big ole Donnyfl on my .457 Texan carbine and love it. A little long but works great. I recently got .357 Texan carbine and just received the adapter. The Donnyfl will fit both guns. I won't have a chance to shoot it for a while(until deer season is over) Do you think the bigger .457 will stop the sound good enough or am I looking at buying a new one in .357 in the near future? Thanks. Hopefully someone has done something similar with a big bore.

Yes, it should work. I have one .30 Donny Ronin that can be used to great effect on my other 2 guns (.22 & .25). As it is, even Donny recommends going 1 caliber up for the moderator (i.e., using a .25 mod for a .22) Even though I'm not as "big bore" as you I think you'll be surprised at how effective they are. WORST case scenario, you try it THEN decide.
