I shot a Hawke 4x on my Mrod for the last 3 or 4 years. I loved the five yard focus, light weight, and small profile. I did not like the very thick reticle. Also, although the reticle was described as a mil-dot, it really wasn't since it was scaled for a 10x scope so the graduations were off and nearly unusable. I bought a SWFA SS 10x mil dot and while I am fairly happy with it, it seems a little big. Was thinking about going back to a 1" diameter scope, maybe a variable, that could focus at least down to ten yards with a working mil dot somewhere in the range of usable. Suggestions?
