4x vs 10x vs ?

I shot a Hawke 4x on my Mrod for the last 3 or 4 years. I loved the five yard focus, light weight, and small profile. I did not like the very thick reticle. Also, although the reticle was described as a mil-dot, it really wasn't since it was scaled for a 10x scope so the graduations were off and nearly unusable. I bought a SWFA SS 10x mil dot and while I am fairly happy with it, it seems a little big. Was thinking about going back to a 1" diameter scope, maybe a variable, that could focus at least down to ten yards with a working mil dot somewhere in the range of usable. Suggestions?

I just got from utg the big buster 3×9×32 @ the 3×12×44 ..I didnt really expect much from these scopes but have been surprisingly happy ..the light weight is what I was after ..I have a couple SWFA3×14×42 @ a couple Hawke scopes I paid $600 a piece for. but they were to heavy for what I was looking to accomplish.. a light weight bullpup rig... The new 22.cal vulcan I got is super light and I want it to stay that way .. I also have a new 22 cal taipan veteran. that's kinda heavy so it needs a light weight scope. .I also thought of trying the veyron scope that Brian at Edgun west sells.. I know these scopes are no way near the cream of the crop glass wise...they do serve a purpose though. good luck HYNZIE 4S

I don't normally recommend UTG but have purchased the UMOA 4-16x44 and 2-16x44 mini swat and they are great with perfect reticle within your $200 budget glass that are decent enough even I can tolerate. I have a combination of 3 of them and dont normally push UTG but the UMOA reticle rocks! Also lighter weight close to half pound lighter than the Alpha6. (A6 hands down got better glass though)

Cheapest here and they normally sell for $215-$220. Only the center cross is illuminated with up to 36 COOL shades of colors.

Odoyle- How do these compare to the Discovery VT-3 scopes? I was just getting ready to buy another Discovery until I saw this.
