50th squirrel

I shot my first squirrel with an airgun, my Prod, on 12/9/2020. I shot my 50th this evening with my P35-22. First one was a head shot and this one kind of was too. I could only see the head, it's body was hidden on the back side of one of my oaks but it's head was visible, it was looking at me. My P35-22 wears an Arken EPL 6-24 which I was a bit worried about because it's first focal plane and the reticle is fine and pretty much invisible at 6X. I had it turned up to 10X and had no issue. The glass is pretty good in the Arken and helped me see the squirrels head in a shadow. This is the sixth with this gun and they all have dropped at impact regardless of the placement (but none have been really badly placed). All exited too. I used the H&N Baracuda Match it likes, 21 grain. Simple domed pellets kill so well I don't see a need for a "hunting pellet". Even in 177 I use Baracuda Match with good results. The first picture has the squirrel exactly as I found it with the gun next to it. My dog's head is kind of visible but she was moving. The second picture is the other side of the squirrel where the pellet entered. You don't see the exit in the first picture because it was under the front leg on that side. I'm having trouble picturing exactly how the squirrel was sitting at impact. Must have been in a bit of a ball. Cola is more visible in the second picture. She spotted this one and alerted me to get the gun. She loves it when I knock one out of the tree it is in and she gets to lick it. I haven't got her trained to bring it to me but at least she doesn't run away with them. 15 ounce male that was 21.5 yards away at a 28 degree upward angle.
