55 @65 with the Evol mini

Today I needed trigger therapy bad.

My daily driver fought me all week out of no where, today it showed why with a catastrophic engine failure. It was cheap throwaway car and I'm not mad about it , it owed me nothing. Many cross country trips, camping trips, etc , etc but it did cause me a bit of stress.

After that my phone which was wounded also died, well hear I am with a new phone (you'd think the cost of these things would go down by now?! But the keep going up , my gosh)

So I decided to continue my trend of 5 mags or 55 shots but stepped back out 10 yards more from my last time.

I took a few sighter groups to figure out the hold on my 35 yard zero and then shot my 5 consecutive mag group. Oh did I mention while I was loading the mag my new phone rang (I'm always on silent) and caused me to become distracted and I dropped an entire tin of 15.89 hades that was freshly opened?!? Thanks Tim ( @SMH ) lol jk it's all good, hopefully congrats on what we were discussing at the time!

Anyways here it is. Happy shooting. You guys are great.

ALSO ANY OF YOU WHO HAD MY NUMBER PLEASE TEXT ME AND TELL ME WHO YOU ARE, I WAS UNFORTUNATELY UNABLE TO BACKUP EVERYTHING

That’s awesome consistency at 65 yards !
Thank you! I am going to keep stepping backwards 10 yards and continuing to document, the one thing I want to do is bring it from 865fps down to about 840-845fps , see if I can squeeze three magazines per fill and get the shot report a little quieter, it isn't loud but its not taipan mouse fart quiet.

I‘m likely going to go to my brother’s and shoot 100 yard practice today.

So I’m clear on what you were doing, are you shooting 15.89g @ 65 yards @ 865fps?

If yes, I may bring my Daystate Huntsman to my brother’s. Not for 100 yards, but it shot an 11 shot mag into a .45 one hole group @50 yards last time I brought it - and it was very breezy. Today my brother reports very low wind on his shootin’ range, lol.
My Huntsman loves 15.89g - shoots them 875-890fps over 35 unregulated shots. 42 shots with a 20fps spread.

Ed thats correct, so right now these are 15.89, I am hoping that 18.13 will shoot around 800-810 on the same tune as I feel that will prove to be very promising if I ever want to shoot N50 or out to 100, the 15.89 can definitely shoot to 100 but ive only seen it happen out of a few rifles.

I have no doubt that Huntsman can do the same!

Kevin,

Here is velocity test I did with my .22 Prophet in my yard a few days ago - with 15.89s and 18.13s.

Note the velocities. I think you will have to stay at 865 with the 15.89s if you want 800 with the 18.13s.

The circles are exactly a US dime - so the 18.13s still grouped tight in the wind at 816fps.
