56" hard rifle case

I have a modified Texan 457 that is 54" long with the muzzle break and Saber tactical adjustable butt stock I am looking for a hard gun case that it will fit it for a reasonable price! I am looking for something under $300 if at all possible. Thanks in advance!!

The description says 53” in length on the interior. I have used a vault case for a Texan. I have to look at my receipt to get the dimensions though.

I have one and beware - it is incredibly heavy even empty. Foam inserts are readily available from Amazon.

I’ll measure mine when I have time. I have a Pelican case specifically for my Texan. I don’t know the measurements and forget where I ordered it from.

The pelican was actually the one that was in my radar to purchase but the description does say interior dimension/lenght is 53". Let me know when y'all have time to measure!! Thanks

If hard side is not a requirement for travel or the like, Galati makes a 50BMG soft case that is terrific. It’s not dripping with pockets and features, but I use it often for rather large and heavy firearms, and it has held up great.

@Poke-E I measured a couple of long cases. One is 50” the other 53” on the exterior. My Texan .45 fits in both. I don’t know which Texan model you have, but I’m curious as to how long your gun is. Mine is a standard with no shroud.

Thanks for getting back with me. I have a standard long barrel Texan with a witt machine 5 slot muzzle brake, and a saber tactical adjustable butt stock. I also have a .5 bottle attached to accommodate the AAO kit I have installed on it. I take the butt stock of and the gun measures 53".

@Poke-E Mine is bone stock. I can see exactly how you got the added length with the longer reservoir and muzzle brake. I’m not sure which hard case will work for you. When the interior length of the case and gun’s length are very close I situate a gun diagonally within the case. You may want to look at some Apache (Harbor Freight) or Nanuk cases as well. I don’t know much about Flambeaux and Plano cases.

I believe the Nanuk 995 series is 54” internal length. It’s been my flight case for RMAC/EBR for 4 years. Outstanding and bomb proof.

I never thought about putting the gun in diagonally. I may just have to get a custom one made if I can convince my wife to let me!!!
