65 gal pickle barrels and FT/EFT targets

Oh my.. sounds like your in a pickle deciding on what to do as best ..

I got a Blue 55 gallon drum at about 75 or so yards. Was full of beer bottles from our Party's over the years.
I started pulling the bottles out and setting a board over the barrel then shooting the bottles.
Now I have a 55 gallon drum of broken glass! It was fun while doing that but now I need to empty that!

Yepr - ya gotta think about “post” playtime; maybe a glass recycling center will take as is but HeAVy and leaded.

I created two preliminary types today:
FT on a half shell = two FT target houses per barrel

Then I took a whole barrel and filled it with 10 bags of rubber mulch - still creating the front frame

In hindsight I don’t think you need to cut the front out just create a changeable membrane to put under the paper target

MK1 Mod 2 will be two half shells but I will not cut the opening all the way down-instead I will leave a 4” band at the bottom for additional support and I’m going to try the heat gun previously mentioned to create a roof-stay tuned

On the 1/2 shell ones. I guess you could use some ply and make a bottom floor.

I made easy clips to fasten the ply to that 1/2 barrel .



May make for easy cleanup of spent pellets then fighting then out of the grass (??).

Raking up pellets off the ground what got me on this stuff .. fight grass, dead grass, leaves and whatever . Then had to shift all that rake up trash to get to the pellets to put in the spent pellets can clean..lol.
