What do you eat from an iguana? Legs and tail? I only keep the legs and the back part of the back on squirrels. Maybe that works for iguanas?

Legs, tail, and jaw meat. The big ones will have a couple ounces of meat there. Like eating medallions

Yikes! I wasn’t getting a good sense of scale from the photo. Thought I was looking at an average size wheelbarrow with kid’s shoes in the periphery. Averaging over 13lbs each. Wow.

This thread is nice!! My man said "jaw meat." I wasn't considering that. That's interesting. Which projectiles did you put them down with? Are those Zan's hollow point slugs? You knocked off some dinosaurs.

Yessir! Zan 49gr going about 940fps these are by far my favorite expanding projectile, the H&N 54gr have a slight edge accuracy wise. I've shot smaller iguanas with these slugsz and I mean like 2lbs iguanas, and these slugs will expand before they even come out. Having maybe 1.5x time width of a squirrel, although iguana skin is much stronger, the slug went in over the shoulder and there were 3 different exits

we have some large ones but most the does are meat deer are 110-125lbs and end up with 45-55 lbs of bonenless meat in freezer

Nice haul.... and I'd never have guessed that much meat out of one. Do you use the skins for anything? Wondering if they can be used to dress up a leather sheath or make a small coin purse/pellet pouch
