6K Nitrogen Tank Arrived

So I finally got my tank delivered to my work So I can start using it to fill my 4L 4500 PSI bottles. Anyone have or recommend a regulator / filling hose attachment. I haven't got anything yet as was waiting for the tank to make sure it has the CGA-677 valve.

if its like what I once used@ 6000 psi ..I went the safe route and bought a Joe b duel regulator.$500...heres one..

what would be the difference fill guns directly or filling bottles to fill your guns ? Unless the filling process has a lot of wasted gas blowing off the fill hoses ?

I used the $190 one from Airtanksforsale (Joe B). I did not get the more expensive version with the regulator as I found it completely unnecessary for filling my bottle. Never had a problem.

I ran the big 6000psi tank at the neighborhood air rifle range. We used the Joe B regulated version. I found a like new used new one for $350. It worked great for filling rifles direct. Very much idiot proof which was what was needed for an unsupervised public range. If only filling your tank off the nitro tank you may not need the regulator and be able to roll with the non-reg version like the poster above.

You need to check in your area. The costs are VASTLY different around the country. If you search nitrogen here you will some outrageous prices that people were quoted making it a moot point. Mine was very cheap and was a great deal for me especially since I didn’t shoot a ton when I had it.

I think mine was a $75 yearly rental and then around $100 for a fill. Others were quoted several hundred dollars a year just in the tank rental alone.

bottle size..filling a bottle less dangerous...still a regulator is needed , a fresh nitro bottle at 6000 psi is a real threat..maybe dumping fast air into a bigger bottle is safer then a crown bottle at 480 cc..its all fast, and at 65 years old safer is a better option for me.

This is what I've been using the last 5 years, go it from Joe B. I now have a compressor so I will be selling it.

I typically keep 2 N2 cylinders on hand, regulating the higher pressure of the 2 and just using a fill station on the lower pressure cylinder.

After 5+ years of exchanging many cylinders with 2500psi remaining I finally picked up a booster. Now I can run my cylinders down to <1kpsi and still boost guns to over 3kpsi.

While not required, having a good reg and booster pump will enable you to maximize the benefits of buying clean,dry, high pressure gas vs compressing your own.....
