HW/Weihrauch 7.6 Foot Pounds of Fury

This one is for you Ron. HW30 at 30, 50, 60, and 75 yards. JSB 7.87’s @ 660fps. Wasn’t expecting anything spectacular with a 13mph headwind but was surprised with the 30 yard groups. Went 10 for 10 at 50 and 60 on the 3 1/2” spinners, and 8 for 10 on the 4” plate at 75.

Great shooting!

With the push for more and more power and bigger and bigger projectiles, I love to see the low fpe limits stretched.

With all that excess power you better figure out a better back stop. Wouldn't want those 7.87s to carry on downrange. Might knock a blade of grass over. Maybe.

Lol. They are carrying a solid 3.4 at 75 yards. Barely heard the impact

They are fun to shoot. It still blows my mind how well you shoot them being a giant!
You gotta come visit. We'll have a blast. My neighbor set a milk jug at 435 yards for the wife and I to shoot. She's 0 for 5 and I'm 0 for 6 so it may still be here when you get here. Lol

You have intrigued me as to what my new to me streamline can do at that distance at low power. Power setting 1 will shoot 10.3gr fx at 620fps and the 8.4gr fx at 666fps

I’ve had plenty of 1” groups at 50 with the HW30 in moderate wind, the norm is more like 1 1/2”. I’m sure yours is capable of better

I know it's definitely capable at short distance, at that power range, I've managed to get groups like your bottom left target to hunt iguanas on peoples roof, but at 75yds we shall see lol. I will definitely have to clean the barrel tonight before I take it out again.

Clean the barrel and you'll likely ruin the accuracy. I haven't cleaned any of mine since 2018 where I gave up Crosman hard lead pellets. I guarantee mine have thousands more shots then most people's

For some reason this barrel will shoot rather well for about 200-300 shots, and then the accuracy goes, not sure why. But that's been the process. Not complaining though, taken over a hundred iguanas with it already. But the groups will double in size after a few hundred shots. I could polish the barrel like I have with others.

I think Sean will verify i went 15 in a row on what I think was a 4" junction box cover at 102 yards. I quit at 15 because I was already pushing my luck. Am I remembering this right Sean? I was using 8.44 exacts. It hit with a whopping 2 fpe. Lol
that is correct. It was a 4” cover at 102 yards. I was watching the paint chip off the target through a 16x scope.

Thanks! People think of FoS when I tell them about that day. My favorite day was when I got my wife's girlfriend to repeatedly hitting a beer can at 100 yards at Brookhaven. I had dialed in the gun before she got there. It was between the 3rd and 4th rung on the hollowed bottom reticle ladder at 6x on the 2-7 airmax. She got bored shooting paper at 30 yards. I shifted her to the beer can at a hundred. Took three shots to walk her in and hit it. A 40 plus year old woman giggled like a school girl when she hit it. Then she hit it over and over again. Probably the highest moment in my airgunning interest. There's always something to hitting something you have no business hitting. It's even better to get a new shooter to do it.

Never underestimate the value of a Hw30
