75 yard shooting RAW .30 & Cricket .25

More pics / info in “RAW Report” thread. Snuck in a few groups today in between other obligations and the odd rain shower

The RAW is always stellar at any distance. The Cricket surprised me today! Didn’t imagine Polymags holding it together all the way out to 75 yards. Shot just as well as the 25.39 gn JSB.

Brian,
I shoot a Cricket 25 which groups a bit better than your experience at 75 yards with 25 gr JSB. But significantly improves using the 34 gr JSB pellets. A fellow shooter has a FX Boss in 30 and it consistently shots ca one inch groups at 100 yards with no POI shift. I do not know if his rifle,s performance is typical or exceptional but I am really tempted to purchase one.

Crickets are solid performers for sure. In fairness to mine, I’m shooting the 25gn JSB a little fast (915-925) and the breeze was a tail / crosswind. So, poi shifts that are up/down and left right. I think I can improve on this quite a bit! I’m so tempted to throttle it up and shoot the 34gn ammo.. That’ll take it to a new level for long range. BUT, it’s just such a sweet shooter with Pmags at 44 fpe at normal hunting distance (for me, 20-60 yards). Also doesn’t guzzle air like it would at 60fpe. ? Can’t wait for some calmer air to see what it can do at 75yds with the featherweight 25gn, haha.

I like that skeleton stock on your Cricket, I'd love to have one for mine. The mag holder in the bulldog stock is useless with 34 gr. It's too heavy for the magnets to hold them securely. I quit using it after almost losing a full mag while hunting.

I've never tried the Polymags in mine but the 34's shoot lights out. Have you tried them at 75? I'll bet that group would tighten up a lot.
