I was told 4 main species of ground squirrel in New Mexico. Prairie dogs, rock squirrels, round tails and antelope squirrel.

I thought it was a rock squirrel in the video. He's got a shaggy tail. If it was here I'd call it a rock squirrel. It's definitely not a round tail.

Wow i shocked the head didnt pop off with the dirty 30 lol

If i had place it 1/2" to the left instead of hitting him just in front of the eye it probably would have. Does a number when you hit dead on like these rabbits

Personally, I'm as likely to eat Rock or Ground Squirrels as rats ( that ain't gonna happen! ). They are disease ridden vermin & should be handled with caution, let alone EATEN!!! They are known to even carry Bubonic plague, you know, The Black Death!
