A cheap easy trap idea

Had a round bucket with a cracked bottom so I figured I'd replace the laundry soap jug ..

Went with plyboard face this time.

Made quick remove clips to hold ply and same for stand mounting

I built two pellet traps the other day that will see a lot of use this winter. They’ere not a whole lot bigger than necessary for an 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper.
One is the rubber mulch style and one is the duct seal style. Needless to say, the mulch style is way cheaper and easier to construct, and way way lighter. The duct seal one has three blocks of duct seal that weigh five pounds each, plus the would. So it’s pushing twenty pounds.
Both will see .177 and .22 pellet rifles and pistols. I have already cut a bunch of replacement cardboard backers to replace shot up ones.
The duct seal one is nice because it’s more compact but I found that it should be laid down on it’s back when not in use because the duct seal slowly flows downward.
Both work very well. I still want to make one with rubber mud flaps that are on a 45° and have mulch in the bottom for the pellets to settle into.
