Shot this one this morning at 41 yards, (just where my target happened to be)
3 shots with a 30 grain griffin cruising at 920 fps.
As you all well know, Griffin makes some AWESOME slugs, they are very soft and form very nicely to.the rifling in the barrel. And expand like crazy. But most of all, they are very very accurate and very consistent.
This is now my 3rd order, and the slugs are always shoot exactly the same.
The only downside to them is the cost. At .15 cents a piece they are a little pricey, almost 3 times the cost of Nielsens, and double the cost of knockouts.
But if that's what my gun likes, that's what I will feed her. No arguing here. Lol.
And frankly 200 slugs will last a long time if you only squeeze off on prey or pests and not punch paper too much with them.
Here's a couple groups at 100 yards.
Oops. Can't find them as they are a few days old and I just got a new phone yesterday.... oh well, I'll load them later if i find them.
They were 2 sub moa 3 shot groups at 100 yards. One might well have been at 5/8.
It's a. 25 standard with huma reg, power plenum and hammer weight installed. Reg at 165. Gets about 25 shots at this tune.
Ok. Found the groups.
