The way I see it this is essentially the same gun as the snowpeak m16 (aka the diana outlaw).

The xm1 ranger, regulated, 300cc and 3630 fill pressure, reasonable power out of the box(600mm barrel suggests one could tune a bunch more from it), 2 mags, comes with spare orings. What's not to like?

If you look at the barrel block, it's very similar + the picatinny rail for optics. Also the barrel band is deleted in favor of a free floated barrel.

Also different cylinder sizes, synthetic stock with pic rail for bipod, pressure gauge location, list goes on...again I see very little similarity? Who knows about the internals..

Agreed. It's just that the barrel block and the side-lever action I see in the pictures remind me of the outlaw/m16. Is the xm1 ranger/scout based on it ? Truth be told I dunno I'm just speculating here. I guess we will find out soon.

I see they have a bull pup too. They look good but to me it appears they use a fill probe and I don't like that

I agree.. Definitely a SPA m16 slightly modified in a different stock.
The ole M16a was a terrific rifle, that I regret selling!
May have to procure me one of these new iterations once it becomes available
Hopefully they’re priced on the reasonable side , can’t help myself

The bullpup is very modular, not my cup of tea but good stuff, like what I see...at the right price this could be a fun entry level gun for some.

I took all the colored parts off of my .177. It's a laser with 10.03 and 13.43 JSB Knockouts. I'm getting over 23 fpe with the 13s too.

I did a quick overlay of the Scout over an M16. The alignment isn't perfect, so don't look at it too long or you might get a headache.
