PARD Zoom series digital scopes include two focal lengths: 25mm, offering a larger field of view, and 50mm, providing a narrower field. This range meets users’ needs across various shooting scenarios. For example, a user can quickly locate a target within the broader field of view, and then switch to a higher magnification for more precise aiming. This design enables more flexible and effective shooting at different distances and in diverse environments.

1、Principle and Significance of Zoom Series Magnification

(1)Dual-field scopes usually consist of multiple lens groups, with the optical magnification based on the focal length of the lenses. The focal length is a measure of the lens's focusing capability; the farther the object, the longer the required focal length.

(2)Adjusting the distance between lens groups alters the total focal length of the optical system, which in turn affects magnification and the field of view (FOV) angle.

2、Zoom Series Lenses

The Zoom series offers two fields of view: 25mm and 50mm lenses.

Magnification/(x)
FOV/°(H*V*D)
25mm
1.3
14*14*19.8
50mm
2.5
7*7*9.9

3、Zoom Series Magnification Operation

By using a mechanical device (such as a sliding ring or adjustment lever), users can adjust the distance between lens groups to modify the FOV and magnification.

Note: Zoom Operation of the PARD Zoom Series

(1)When the knob is set to “25,” it corresponds to the 25mm focal length field of view.

(2)When the knob is set to “50,” it corresponds to the 50mm focal length field of view.

Notes:

(1)The shift from 25mm to 50mm and vice versa is optical zoom. Between these two settings, In some positions, focusing is successful, while in others, it is not. This is normal.

(2)For observation distances ≥25m, switching from a 25mm lens to a 50mm lens does not require refocusing; conversely, minor adjustments are needed.

(3)For observation distances ≥50m, switching from a 50mm lens to a 25mm lens does not require refocusing; otherwise, slight adjustments are necessary.

4、Differences Between Ocelot Zoom and Pantera Zoom

(1)Ocelot Zoom is a compact scope, while Pantera Zoom is a tube-shaped.

(2)Ocelot Zoom uses a 21700 battery, whereas Pantera Zoom uses an 18650 battery.

I have long wondered.

Why dont anyone make a night vision ( IR ) scope for airgun use ( very low recoil ) using a ZOOM core like you have in PTZ CCTV cameras.
That would allow HUGE optical zoom, and also stuff like autofocus ASO
And you could make do with smaller resolution image sensor, like the 1080p Sony IMX662

Personally i would pick up such a scope in a heartbeat and my old digital zoom stuff will probably never be used again.

We have discussed this solution. It will greatly increase the size and weight of the entire device. First, the lens is much larger, and the battery will be consumed quickly. If we go out hunting, the added weight will be too great and very inconvenient to carry. Of course, with the development of technology, it will be made lighter and smaller in the future.

Hi do you know about an app called Alibaba.com or AliExpress apps they have alot of different scope's, with both knight vision and IR capabilities, some of these products will attach to your scope already, so that your adding knight vision and IR to your standard scope..
