I had noted a couple lanes in the 30 to 33* degree angle range. Generally 0-20* your good as range found ... greater than that you start reducing hold distance with an @ 15-18% reduction from measured at @ 30* to actual what you need to shoot. COMPOUNDED by the fact there are some crazy updraft and downdrafts pending where in the canyon the shots are made. It is very likely the Most dynamic & difficult field target experience one could or would ever shoot.
one end of course to the other ... guessing @ 1/4 mile
John, glad to see you made it. Great photos. Looks like a fantastic place for FT. Maybe next year I'll give it a try...... if Uber provides service out that far. LOL Can't wait to see the match report.
When we arrived at the match, crickets, really millions of them. We were in the middle of a large Mormon Cricket migration which happens every several years. They are cannibals and devour any wounded brothers. Great fun to shoot, you hit a couple and you create a bait pile that attracts them like flies to honey. Only concern was I almost shot up all the pellets I brought with me.
