A good buy on bulk pellets

There doesn’t seem to be an airgun ammo forum, so I’ll drop this here because I’ve been shooting the pellets I’m posting about through pistols and a modded 1377 with an 18” barrel.

The shoutout here is for bulk pellets - .177 - that seem to be very good plinkers. I’m just a recreational plinker – occasionally bullseyes, but usually pop cans, ice cubes, empty pill bottles that are the ever-increasing debris of my geezerhood, etc. So all you competitive shooters and brilliant bullseye artists, take this shoutout with a grain of salt; I’m not here to sell you on whether these might suit your needs.

The item of the moment are Umarex pellets, pointed, 7.18 grain. I know many people prefer wadcutters and heavier weights, but for my plinking purposes, these are pretty decent. More than accurate enough that I’m pretty sure any shortcoming is the shooter, not the pellet. They load and shoot smoothly and consistently in all my airguns, something I can’t say for various other plinker-level pellets I get at the big box stores. $14.99 for a box of 1,250 at Tractor Supply (note – online it’ll say flathead; they’re not, they’re pointed).

For those moments where I want to pretend I’m a better shot than I am, I’ll buy and shoot pricier pellets. But for average bulk stuff for everyday plinking, I think these are really good and a heckuva deal. I thought I’d pass it along for what the tip may be worth.

I'm on my second tub. Pretty good plinkin pellets for the money.

There is a reason they are on sale, LOL. But probably a good buy for short range plinking or break in pellets for initial barrel seasoning. As Motorhead said, would never trust them for any long range activity.
Of course these aren't jsb or jts. But they don't also cost $25 for a tin of 300/500 lol. These are for plinking or small pest control. They aren't for long range 100 yards plus and competition.
