On, Canada
Walked into a gun shop, imagine that. Just about to leave and in the corner of my eye I caught this vice. Talked to the gunsmith, he has two. And said doesn’t get any better.
Took one home. I clamped it on the end of my bench. My oh my, this thing is awesome. Very secure and when contorting into different positions and lock it, solid. Check this out.

$400. up here in Canada, pricey, but worth it. I’m going to guess $250. to $300. in US. Crow

Very, very nice. But, looks like it suffers from the same issue as my current one. Try clamping a side lever Diana in it and working on the cocking linkage and you’ll see what I mean. Unless there’s a way to adjust the depth the stock sits down into it?
I think this is what you mean. I can jack the arm with it in vice. I’m really impressed with this. Clamped the the 54.

Looking forward to using it. Crow

Going to return the favor talking about nice tools. T. Robb spring compressor. With the different makes of guns, different rails, etc. this made my life easier. White disc works for most rifles. I have the adapter for 3-ball sear Diana which is the bomb. Waiting on him to get FWB adapter done. Everything held solidly, there’s a soft insert at barrel end. Attach your drill to the 17mm nut to compress and unwind. He makes a hand wheel attachment for fine movements but I have enough 17mm wheel hex wrenches that I didn’t need it.

i might have to start working on my guns just so i can buy one 😃
You should get one anyway. It’s as handy as duct tape. Crow

That is nice. I bought one and made two. I don’t use any press now. By hand much easier. Just have to be careful. I’ve done a dozen by hand including a HW80 with heavy spring. Crow
That single piece acrylic table top w/no edges or hardware except for underneath is the BEST.
I just throw a red micro fiber towel over the top of mine or a sheet of clear Visqueen if necessary & avoid scratches & messes.
I got that at Sears when they folded. Got 2 of them . Probably weighs 200 lbs. Came in handy. Crow
My wife says my airgunning is my vice. 😂😂
Could be worse. Crow
