Airgun Technologies A little bling for the Vulcan 3

The other day I noticed the post about the Vulcan 3 cocking lever upgrade from Talon Tunes. Hmmm, $55 (edit I said $55, the correct price is $59.95 ) for a couple of drawer pulls and short threaded rod seemed a little pricey. So, I decided to investigate and was able to determine that the bolt for the cocking lever is M6 x 1.........................OK, that is the same threading as CZ and Bergara bolt handles. Started digging around and found that most were too big and contacted the plenum when fully closed. Then I remembered that some guns utilized a smaller profile knob and found exactly what I was looking for. This knob is from a Bergara BMR bolt rifle and fits perfect and has a very positive tactile feel. I think it's going to work out quite well. PS, I was lucky enough to source a depinger for the V3 from a fellow member and IT WORKS VERY WELL! Much less annoying ping. OK, story over.

Nice little upgrade @grackleblast, gives it that personal touch. I really like the TT handle with multiple mounting options, hard to justify the $60 though.
Why is this an..."upgrade" ?
It's just a different cocking handle ! It doesn't make the gun shoot any better, it doesn't make the gun do...anything...better than before it was attached. It's just...different, yes, more personal !

Grackle - How close is the bottom (larger diameter) of the new handle to the frame of the gun ?

1/8" of clearance between the knob and the plenum. It is just a better feel when cycling the action. Doesn't shoot any better, doesn't sound any different, it doesn't use any more nor any less air, and It doesn't make chicks dig you any more 🐥 It's bling and nothing more.

How does the depinger work! I wanted a Vulcan 3 untill I heard the ping. The Cricket 2 has the same annoying ping, sounds like hitting a pipe with a hammer!
The de-pinger definitely helps, although it doesn't completely eliminate the ping. Kind of like adding a moderator to the barrel.............better , somewhat. The ping seems to be the "nature of the beast" by having your ear so close to the valve when shooting a bull pup platform. I'm glad I installed it in my Vulcan.

Mike, let me share this with you:

The first .30 Cal that I bought was an EVANIX RAINSTORM. The rifle is very, very accurate and powerful, but the side lever is very difficult to get when you are hunting and need a quick second shot. It happens to me many times with hurry hunting situations.

If I could be able to find the way of making that side lever easier to grab, indeed it would be an upgrade.

Jesus H...grumpy much? The man made his rifle more functional and appealing for himself so let him so let him have his win. There are plenty of other cereal bowls to piss in...

I have the Vulcan 1, no ping ar all, what changed?

Good question...................and I really don't have an answer. Perhaps the plenum is larger than the first generation, or maybe the hammer spring is more stout. Just guessing. I had a gen 1 Vulcan in .25 and it had a noticeable ping , but not anything like the V - 3. The first gen shot around 40 - 42 ft lbs whereas the third gen is at 50 .

I changed the regulator of my Vulcan 3 .30 Cal to the rear side. Ping is not so bad that way.
