A PARD issue I was unable to answer

A friend of mine had an issue with his pard 007s unit , I only have the 007a model 1.5-4 mag , theirs is the 4-12 mag I believe. anyways , their issue was lack of clarity at distances over 100 yards. Unable to increase scope magnification over 6x with out blurring out the pards focus. I recommended dropping the pards focus to it's lowest setting to allow more flex in the scopes settings , next issue was a "fisheye effect" when trying to use it. What am I missing? Are these units that limited or am I just stuck on stupid? appreciate the feed back. thanks.

That’s pretty easy to solve. The reason for that is the eye relieve of most scopes changes when you zoom in so when you set up the 007 set it up with the scope on highest magnification so that it’s in the correct distance/eye relief. In lower range magnification the eye relief is much more forgiving and should still work, either way start with high and shouldn’t have to adjust too much after that.
