Update: so I figured it out for the most part. It was a combination of two things- trigger pull/jerk and my tripod set up. Let me explain-
My shooting hands first three fingers, the thumb, trigger, and middle finger are 100% numb. I recently had a nerve study done to see if wether it was from my 2021 neck fusion or carpal tunnel. As it turned out, it was indeed carpal tunnel, so early in November I’m scheduled to get that fixed. But in the meantime, what I’ve done about it is increase my trigger pull weight on all my rifles, and purchased the trigger blade from 910 Airguns with the grub screw at center to help me feel something. I’ve gotten so used to it now, that I’ve become careless by using too much finger meat on the blade, causing me to jerk the shot unknowingly. So now I have to force myself to use only the very least of fingertip and gently squeeze the trigger.
My tripod- I love my tripod set up. I would never ever go to a bipod as my tripod is much more stable, and with the leofoto MH60 ball head I have great control in locking things down. But, like all ball heads, it threads onto the tripod stand with a 3/8” bolt. I’ve gotten accustomed to shooting from right to left on the horizontal target rows from a shooting card. So what’s happening, is I’m unthreading the ball head from the tripod, creating looseness. Coupled with that trigger pull/jerk, it caused some of the earlier shots on the individual targets to have another shot land directly on top of them, which I called “drawn to the shot” at the start of my thread.
I have totally addressed that issue so miraculously, about 80% of my target shooting has gotten better. The fix was to apply a layer of special grip tape on the underside of the ball head. It turned out sweet.
Thanks a bunch to all that replied.
