A tale of two Yong Hengs

I had a YH use for one year and rip, change it for a similar one with a digital panel, damn! Looks similar but a world of difference, much much better.

- temperature stays in the 45c range, yo do not get burned

- digital panel, you can set whatever pressure up to 300b

- better construction

- moisture separator really works

- air stinks much less (I use also filters)

- it is a bit less noisier

9 month now, cero issues but a busted oring. Is used for top off 6.8l and 9L scbas. Means about 30 min each time

What is your new one? Link?

I pulled the Newest Yong Heng back apart and sanded a few thousandths off of the top of the 2nd stage piston and threw it back together it has been werqing fine ever since even though I ran it without oil for a minute or two. Thought the horrible noise it was making was the rod banging cuz I ran it without oil but looks as if it was actually faulty tolerances on the new 2nd stage piston. It was to long and was banging on the head. I am still waiting for the new piston and rod assembly I ordered weeks back to get here from China. So it really did not matter if I trashed this one. Glad I tried the experiment.

Which one is that ?

Well better late than never? I always buy the "Set Pressure" model cuz it shuts off without over filling. The only other good YH model of these is the "Hardcopy" sometimes refereed to as the "Hardcover" model. The "Simple" version does NOT have a water separator and the "Autostop" version cuts off around 2900-3000psi so are not too useful to most of us.
