A Thank you to the members

I know this subject has nothing to do with air guns. However, I got a birdfeeder with a Wi-Fi cam and have been trying to get the camera to work. the instructions state that I may need to get an extender/repeater to do that. All I get is a frozen screen on my phone and the circular moving arrow. So tried to contact the manufacturer and of course got no answer. So, I thought why not reach out to a BIRD FORUM (won't give out the name) for help, well got no reply to my post there! I am not tech savvy but can read and follow instructions. I went on good old amazon and looked for what I think I need and ordered an extender, will see if that works. Back to my point here, I would like to say THANK YOU too all the members who have replied to my posts and questions, even though they may have been discussed before or been a dumb question. AIRGUN NATION is truly a friendly and helpful place to get help and advice. Thanks again too all!

I think more members will see it here as the traffic is slower and your post won't fall off the page?

Also, it is always a good idea to post what brand of setup you have and maybe a picture to two?

Something like a bird cam will have a thin smallish antenna and a fairly low power of final amp. So their range is fairly limited.

You haven't said what your Wifi setup is. If it is just a wifi router you may require that outdoor repeater.

If you have a multiunit mesh wifi then you may have an alternative option.

I had a similar issue and solved it by moving one of my mesh wifi units out under the eaves with line of sight on the problem unit.

Line of sight is especially important at high frequency like wifi. Walls, trees any solid object will attenuated your signal.

WELL, WELL WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY POST LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN MOVED TO A SPOT WERE NO ONE WILL EVEN SEE IT
@Twiceshy This an airgun forum buddy. The "social feed" is for off-topics such as this. You can post to the social feed via the part of your profile where you can type in the "update your status box."

I see you missed the point of my post! I know that this is a air gun forum! My post is a THANK YOU to the members that have replied with advice. not to get help with my feeder cam issue. I was just giving that as an example of the non-helpfulness of some other forums! I originally put it in general discussion because it was meant as a THANK YOU!

Got the extender and it is a mesh wi-fi extender. Got it connected to my router, connected the camera and it works. Thanks Matt and too all that had positive input.
